Wells Food Festival
11th October 2026
Wells is Somerset’s only city and one of its most distinctive historic places, best known for the magnificent Wells Cathedral and medieval Bishop’s Palace. The city grew around three natural wells dedicated to St Andrew, which still provide water in the historic centre. Today, Wells retains an unusually compact and characterful centre, with historic streets, independent shops, cafés, restaurants, markets and cultural attractions. Sitting at the foot of the Mendip Hills, it also provides easy access to some of Somerset’s most attractive countryside and is a popular destination for both residents and visitors.
